The GIO Summer Down Under for wheelchair athletes kicked off with Australia dominating Day 1 in Canberra.
World Champion, Angela Ballard won the T53 100m and 400m events and 800m World Champion, Madison de Rozario (pictured) claimed the T53/T54 1500m.
Jemima Moore from Victoria also did well winning the T54 100m and placing second to Swiss, Manuela Schar in the T54 400.
In the men’s, Queenslanders Rheed McCracken and Sam Carter won the T34 and T54 100m events.
Australians Tang, McCracken and Lappin also won their respective classes in the 400m men’s races.
SDU will continue with the second day in Canberra (21st), the Sydney Twilight Track Meet (24th) and the Australia Day 10K through the Rocks in Sydney (26th).
