Appeal for information – Fatal traffic crash

Police have released images as they seek public assistance to locate a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run fatal traffic crash that occurred earlier this week in Inala.

Shortly before 8.20pm on Tuesday, May 24, a man was walking on Shelduck Street when it is believed he was struck by a vehicle which then left the area.

The 50-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police have released images of a tyre mark believed to have been left by the vehicle on the deceased man’s clothing and some debris left at the scene also believed to have been from the vehicle involved.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have been in the Inala area at the time with a dash camera to contact the Boondall Forensic Crash Unit on 3364 3311 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The Forensic Crash Unit is also appealing for anyone who saw a vehicle with damage to the front left hand side to contact them.

A man has died following a traffic crash that occurred this morning in Oxley.

Police were called to the intersection of Boundary Road and Kimberley Street around 5.30am after a 79-year-old was struck by a vehicle.

He was taken to hospital in a serious condition and has since died as a result of his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit continues to investigate.
