Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Malvern teenager Madeline Wallace.

She was last seen at her home address on Plant Street in Malvern about 6pm on Sunday.

The 15-year-old is described as 168cm tall, slim build, with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket.

Madeline Wallace is known to frequent the Brighton area.

Police have released an image of Madeline in the hope that someone may be able to shed light on her whereabouts.

Anyone who sees Madeline or has information as to her whereabouts is urged to contact Prahran Police Station on 9520 5200.

Man charged with murder following death of teenager Cayleb Hough

Missing Persons Squad detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of Chelsea Heights teenager Cayleb Hough.

The 17-year-old boy’s remains were located in a shallow mineshaft in the Lerderderg State Park in Bacchus on Thursday 10 March and a homicide investigation was launched.

A 28-year-old Kawarren man was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of murder yesterday.

He was remanded in custody overnight and faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The man has been remanded in custody to re-appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 2 June 2016.

Police allege Mr Mewburn killed Cayleb on or around December 20, the day he went missing after being seen getting into a car in Highett about 6am.

The car was found dumped at Crown Casino on January 16.

According to Australia Network Nwes, seventeen-year-old Cayleb Hough went missing last year on Dec. 20 after witnesses saw him travelling with a man in a car. His body was then discovered on March 10 in a shallow mineshaft located in the Lerderderg State Park in Bacchus Marsh.
